Seafood is definitely the food group to be consuming during pregnancy. You can eat most types of fish when you’re pregnant as it is a great source of vitamins and minerals. You should not eat raw seafood , shellfish, and do not eat flake, swordfish or marlin during or leading up to pregnancy. These fish have high levels of mercury which can affect your babies developing nervous system.  World Health Advises Adults to eat at least two portions of fish a week in a balanced diet. The same is true for women who are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
